Front tire size options

Anybody run front tires that are a little shorter than the rear tires? (within 3/4" say) I read a post somewhere on the internet that had mentioned that you want to keep your front tires the same height as your rears or a little taller for best weight transfer. Can you guys give me some examples of your setups and if there are advantages/dis-advantages to the various front tire differences? I swear in sportsmans class I've seen some cars with shorter front tires.

The difference in tire diameter needs to be 5% or less. Anymore than that, your ABS and traction control will fault out, and not work. Your speedometer and odometer will be off also. I dont know about for track use, if that matters or not.
