I need to add another car with the 1LE what should I get?

So I received a pretty big bump in my monthly vehicle allowance at work and have been thinking about buying another car. Here are my choices:

Buy a fuel saver (which one?) to save mileage on the 1LE

Buy another fun car that serves that purpose (BRZ?)

Buy another hot car (challenger?)

Buy a diesel 4x4 to tow my track Porsche (I use a junker now)

Trade the 1LE in on Vette? Mustang GT350? GTR? Viper? (would be DD for my wife)

I have until the 31st until my loan approval expires, and I have no idea what is the best move...I figured you guys would have some good recommendations.

I drive a 13 duramax most days. It's a 2500 HD and gets about 20mpg highway... I can drive from Minneapolis to Indianapolis on a single tank. I've gone as many as 630 miles to a tank. That's what I reccomend it's reliable gas mileage rivals my 1LE and makes towing/hauling a breeze

Kaboom, I have thought about that too, it just shocked me how easy they come apart when the hit a wall.....minor slide out turns into a total loss!

Get a Raptor they're great daily drivers! You can pull your Porsche with it, experience a totally different kind of fun with them and wife's love them!

Gonna chime in with, what do you love, automotively speaking? Is any aspect of that missing from your life, currently?

You've got the track toy now, you've got the 1LE now. Given those, what driving experience is missing from your day to day life?

Practically, you need something to do any hauling, for yard waste and household improvement / maintenance sort of tasks? Something with a bed starts to make a lot of sense. If not then, what else do you need?

Sounds like there's a couple thought processes, daily driver, upgrade of current daily driver / track car (as opposed to dedicated track toy), or something for your spouse?

You going to miss the 1LE if you get rid of it? Sounds like you might, from what I've read of your posts, but I don't know for sure. Can't, obviously.

So, I'm thinking;
Daily commuter car - get something fun. BRZ, Genesis Coupe, Datsun 240Z should you be of a mind to find something older. More fuel efficient, lower operating costs, but still fun.
Hauling / Utilitarian - Any number of trucks would do the job, and most have an option set that will allow them to be as fun as it's possible to make a truck.
Something for the wife - Get her whatever she wants.


Personally, I'd keep the 1LE, then again, I commute in an SS, and I chose it because I wanted a car I could have fun with and go to work every day in. I'm planning on keeping it for quite a while.

If this is an opportunity to upgrade to what you really want, do that. If this is just an opportunity, you don't need to take advantage of all of them. Whatever you do, the only real advice is, do whatever is going to bring you the most enjoyment, and if you must be practical, be practical with an eye toward enjoying the result of the practicality.

I would trade the 1LE in for a C7 Z51 with magnetic ride control.
