Chevy Racing Hydraulic Roller vs Johnson slow leakdown lifter

Again, opinions on those who have used them.

This is one area I don't want to cheap out on. I have heard some say they are very happy with the Chevy Racing but others swear by the Johnsons because they are supposedly quieter...... opinions please.

Really the Chevy racing are almost 500 bucks so the extra 250 doesn't bother me but wanted to get some opinions. Very interested in noise level if any of you have input on that. I am going to be running a very mild vvt cam that doesn't even technically require the GM Racing lifters but I might as well at least go that route over the factory ls3 lifters.
Thanks

I just got my new engine running and have the gm racing lifters. One thing that I noticed right off the bat is that their pretty noisy. But I honestly don't know how quiet that could be with a SS3 vvt cam. I also had them in my previous build too, and they still look good after a while. My son has them in his ls1 with a small cam and they seem to be a fair amount quieter. I guess I trust them not to fail and that's all that really matters.

The GM CTSV designed racing lifters have been flawless to this point but for the difference we now use Johnson's for our builds and they are more quiet.

I beat the tar out of my Johnson 2116 lifters for the last 12k miles.

Have had the GM racing lifters for 4 years. 7600rpm for 3 years, 7800rpm for this year, no issues. I can't hear them, but I run open headers so its never been an issue anyway

GM/Caddy racing lifters here for just over a year and a half. They are working well and not noisy to me, but my exhaust is pretty loud.
