I've been around cars for almost 60 years and I own both a LT and a SS with Flowmasters on both, and they sound completely different.

HAHAHA maybe he had the BMW badass exhaust sound system playing on his radio!!! That would cover the v-6 sound.......shame shame shame. If you want a SS buy a SS don't buy a base car and make it look like a SS unless you can afford to change EVERYTHING to make it a SS. At that point you should have just gone and saved the money and bought a real SS.

That is special.

I never said you can't make a v6 sound like a "beast".
I said there is a big difference in sound between a v6 and v8.

Let's all just move on from this before it starts to be a v6 vs v8 thing.

Pretty much. I would say OEM stuff only, but the "TRANSFORMERZ PACKAGE" ruined that for me.

I think you can make a V6 sounds beast, until you hit the high end. Than it gets that high pitched V6...almost rattle. I guess the definition of "beast" is really what should be debated. A lot of sad sad people think the civic they drive sounds "beast." To each their own...

OP...I agree this is just a sad occurrence. I would be OK with the SS front end if that is really what you want, but the SS badges cross the line. Just be proud of what you have. If your not going to be proud of it than why buy it at all?

When I mentioned on this forum that the dealer is replacing my faded ZL575 badges, I got a PM from someone offering me $100 for the old badges. No idea if he's a ZL owner, but when I asked that question I got no reply, so I would assume not.

Posers will be posers. Nothing you can do about it.

Kinda takes care of popping the hood if poser openly admits it's a V6
