I would rather pay a very low interest rate than to give up my cash. They are practically begging you to take out a loan these days with the extremely low rates they offer. Cash is king for sure. My Daddy always taught me to use someone else's money when they are giving it away. now if you are paying a high rate than that may or may not be a different story. If I had a house payment and 32,000 grand burning a hole in my pocket, I would put it on the house before a car. Chances are that will save you more interest than the car loan because house loans are usually taken out for much longer than a car loan.
I does make one feel good to own something outright though and there is something to be said for that. If that makes you happy that's all that matters. No one knows your situation like you. |
