Father vs Son
So my son is jealous of Dad’s new toy and posted this pic on an Instagram poll.
The Camaro lost but I have a feeling his frat brothers didn’t want to hurt his feelings and voted for his Pony. That’s a Roush bumper...he tore his OEM off while parking, 2 weeks after I gifted him the GT. So we “upgraded”. So what do you all say, SS or Pony?? https://www.camaro5.com/forums/attac...1&d=1538432131 |

I’d take either one. Both nice looking cars

Though the Mustang is a very nice car, I will always pick the Camaro

Show me the time slips and I can say which one I'd choose.

Great car rivalry going back 50+ years. Great father son thing too. Now teach the lad proper street decorum and bow to the almighty Chevy Camaro lest you sully the bloodline. The car’s, not your relationship. That’s not important!

Hopefully my son will not as well. He'll be 23 in Nov. He already burned through the OEM rear tires at 14,000ish miles. He claims he wasn't burning rubber. I agreed...I told him he was shredding not burning. He's running Michelin Pilots now. I've only had the SS for 3 weeks but honestly the GT feels lighter and a bit quicker. Perhaps it's his 6 speed as opposed to my auto. Only mods on each are cat backs. A quick Google search shows a 14 SS weighing between 3,700 - 4,300 lbs. The GT is approximately 3,700. However I like the width, looks, stance and ride of the SS. |

You have a 2014 SS. Ford, for better or worse, (prolly better) didnt rest on their laurels and upped the ante. Weight is a definite factor. If you added a few mods to keep things ‘model year relevant’, it’d be a much better race. I still like your Camaro.
Oh, and there are reams of electrons here supporting the bad-ass-ness ET of the auto trans!

That was his first car...mine is the FJ40 in my avatar pic.
And I do prefer the Jeep in city traffic. Off road it's the FJ. My Dad tought me how to wrench on cars...way before the internet. My son and I have spent countless hours wrenching on our 4X4s...and will do so on our cars as well....at least I hope to. Thx for the replies...I feel welcomed here. |

The Camaro is the boss's car.
The Mustang is the kid's car. The world is in order.

I like the Roush front end on his, but I prefer a Camaro to a Mustang, obviously or I’d be on the Mustang forums and out mowing down crowds leaving car shows.
His may feel quicker because it is a newer car, but put a good quality tune on your automatic with a few bolt on go fast goodies (intake, headers, a decent sounding exhaust) and you’ll think an anchor was tied to the back of his car.
