Finally - GPI Max Package 2.0 is LIVE. SBE NA LS3 - 551whp

It's finally live guys! Max Package 2.0 is OUT! Been waiting a long time to share this, but we made 551whp on my SBE LS3. No flycuts. Pump 93 octane. Untouched LS7 LSXR manifold. No smoke and mirrors, just stanky, bolt on and go NA power that fits under the hood and delivers the goods!

Here is the old SS3 and ported rod mod vs. the Max 2.0. Look at the power curve, yes we made a good peak number, but more-over, we more or less matched the old setup down low, spanked it up top, and stretched it out another 500+rpm.

This thing runs and drives awesome. I've got 2,400+ miles on this setup already, and still haven't wiped the grin off my face. For a heavy all motor car, this thing moves.

I'm sure you've got questions, take a look through the article as we got a great write-up with a ton of information there.

If it's something you think you want, here's where you can configure one for yourself:

Here's a nice little test hit to give you some of that high RPM noise:

And here is a good couple minute drive with a data overlay and some conversation about driveability with a "big" camshaft. Spoiler - not bad at all!

We're at a 65cc chamber and 11.3:1 compression with this setup. We're able to do that, with even more camshaft than our biggest cam for OEM head combination. The results speak for themselves.
What is the Max 2.0?

Years ago at GPI we used to offer an LS7 heads/intake and cam setup for LS3/L99 cars. It worked very well, and would make a little more power than a good LS3 heads/cam car. But it had some compromises about it that we weren't totally satisfied with. So, we redesigned it.

The new version, we're calling it Max Package 2.0, uses a Brodix BR7 casting (aftermarket LS7 head) which we do our own finish work on to set the port size/profile, and valve sizes to what we think is about perfect for the bore size of an LS3. It's a 12* valve angle, which helps us run both more camshaft and less combustion chamber (65cc, 11.3:1 on a SBE LS3) than you can with a stock bottom end and LS3 heads. 1.8 LS7 style rockers, LS7 ports, all the goodness of that head design but for the bore of an LS3.

It pairs with a few different LS7 intake manifolds, we have the LSXR on my car, but a hi-ram is always an option, and an MSD Atomic can be made to fit with a little clearance on the manifold. 103mm TB is the way to go with any of those manifolds.

Using the LSXR intake, it makes about 10% more power than a max effort cam/ported LS3 heads/stock intake car.

GPI is top notch! I have the max on mine with a supercharger, among many other mods and this thing is insane. If its an improvement on the original, even crazier yet as I can vouch for the original being a badass setup!
