ZL1 Convertible?
Has anyone heard of plans for a ZL1 convertible? We gotta have something to beat up on the Shelby GT500 convertible.

There has been NO mention by anyone about a ZL1 vert and I would not expect one in the first year.

For what it's worth, from my live chat with a Chevrolet marketing representative this morning:
Question: Is Chevrolet planning on producing a ZL1 convertible? Nancy: The ZL1 Camaro Coupe is the model that is planned. There is no indication that a Convertible will be produced.

Will the ZL1 offer 1290 HP in 2054?

2010 Camaro SS modified extensively. I stretched the body to make it a 4 door, but I swapped in the 3.6L DI V6 for fuel economy. Then I picked up a corvette body around the V8. I also swapped the body for a C2 Z28. (In short I traded it for three cars, a Corvette Z06r, a C2 Camaro Z28, and a Cadillac CTS Summer Performance package 3.6L DI with Aisin 6spd.)

Not going to happen. ZL1 gets an auto though where (as far as we know) the GT500 does not. Between the two, I'd rather have the auto option than the convertible option.
