What is the throw reduction on these, in percentage, versus the GM short shifter installed in the 1LE?

The reduction in throw will be identical to our other Billet Plus Camaro shifters, you can expect a 40% reduction. I have included a link to a Facebook post below of a video that one of our Client's made of the throw between gears. If you have any additional questions please feel free to PM me.

We recently got our dirty "mitts" on a brand-spankin' new 2019 Camaro SS for some test fitting. We can confirm that our line of Hurst Billet Plus Shifters will fit on the upcoming 2019 Camaro SS and ZL1 models. At this time we've only confirmed fitment for the 2019 Camaro SS/ZL1 with a 6-speed manual transmission and non-MDS exhaust valves, but we'll have more fitment options on the way.

FYI: None of the manual cars will have AFM valves.

That's great to hear! I have the Hurst shifter with stock knob on my SS and always wondered how the SS 1LE shifter would compare.

Compared to the stock SS (non-1LE) shifter, here's the reduction in throw with the different shifters:

SS 1LE: 8.75% reduction
Hurst with stock knob: 34.4% reduction (based on my measurements)
Hurst with white ball knob: ~40% reduction (Hurst's advertised #; height has some adjustability, which will slightly affect the % reduction in throw)

From this, you can do the math to calculate a % reduction from the SS 1LE shifter to whichever Hurst option you're considering.
