2015 Camaro 1LT Black full detail with polish to mirror shine

2015 Camaro 1LT Black full detail with polish to mirror shine

Full materials and tool list at the end

This car was hammered! Lots of scratches and swirls. This was quite a job to get a mirror shine on this car. I didn't get all the scratches out, but it looks 1000% better and the customer was thrilled!

I did a full interior detail with carpet shampoo and seat cleaning. After 2 hours of work on the interior, it was time to start the exterior.

I washed the wheels first. Then I washed the car, followed by claying. I used real clay, and clay pads and blocks depending on the area of the car. I prefer to use a machine to clay but there are areas on a Camaro that the machine won’t fit. After claying, I started with the dual action polisher, an orange pad and Meguiar’s M100 compound. I followed with a white pad and Meguiar’s D166 Ultra Polishing Wax all in one polish. I like this polish because it does not dust.

Before

Much better!

After the polish job, I washed the car again to remove all the dust and applied Gyeon Wet Coat sealant.

I dressed the tires and sprayed air freshener.

Light was getting low.

It wasn't his car, it was a customer's.

Still...….

I'm curious as to what a full detail job like this one would cost. Can't be cheap.

It gets that way by, for example, setting laundry baskets or purses on the trunk while you get the keys out. Also not washing off bird droppings so it forms etchings, going to the swirly brush car wash, dragging rings across the paint when opening the doors, etc.

$350-$500 depending on how bad the interior is. This interior was pretty good so it was $350. I'm in a small town. In a big city it could be double or triple that price.

At that price, it's a bargain.

I was at CamaroFest this year and I polished several well maintained Camaros. Check out the Camaro6 forum, CamaroFest8 subforum or my Instagram for pictures.
