So what's your estimate if I mention that I was manager of the guys that did the CArbon Fiber fenders, wheel house and floor panels?

The ZR1 would have to gain over two seconds from it's last time running there. My bet is on the Viper.
Not to derail the thread, but from looking at the current fast list I guess the argument that the 13 GT500 will get schooled by a ZL1 on a road course isn't exactly true either. A half of second is pretty fast. |

I'd put my money on the Viper.

Well the ZR1 is the new king!
ZR1 - 1:33.70 (set new record .29 faster than 2010 Viper ACR) Viper - 1:35.77 http://m.motortrend.com/roadtests/coupes/1212_2013_chevrolet_corvette_zr1_srt_viper_gts/viewall.html Sent from my SAMSUNG Galaxy S III using telekinesis.

But the Z06 was on racing tires. The ZR1 and Viper were box stock off the showroom floor...

I would bet the Viper has a lot more in it, keep in mind this was the drivers first run in the new Viper, while he apparently had tons of seat time in Vettes.

Those were still the tires that came on the car. Not racing tires.

The ZR1’s R-compound Michelins are rated at 80 treadwear. The Viper’s Pirelli P Zero Corsas are an equally yet somehow even more ludicrous 60 treadwear. |
