Service Suspension System

Hi All, I dyno'd my ZL1 last night on a local dynojet and now my "service suspension system" notification won't turn off. Also, the car rides really rough as if the magnetic suspension has been shut off completely. Anyone else have this issue after a few dyno runs?

Dealers are closed today so Monday I will get it checked out. Anything I can try in the meantime or any recommendations?

EDIT: The issue is shown a few posts down, part #s on page 2

If you have a scan tool, check to see if there are any codes. If there are, write them down and then clear them and see if the problem goes away.

I had the same issue after a couple dyno pulls. Put the car on a lift and check the rear ride height sensors. They are small metal rods (maybe 5 inches long) that connect to a moving arm. On mine, the force of the dyno pull had popped one of these rods out of the connecting sensor arm. Easy enough to fix.

Service Suspension System

Same thing happened to me last week. Brought to dealer yesterday, there is a small rod with ball joints on each end that connects to the suspension sensor that was bent and disconnected. From the location, Im guessing that it was damaged when strapped for dyno. We were able to straighten and reconnect. Problem solved!

You guys were correct. Looked under the car and found the rods on both sides broken. I have attached pics for future reference of what they look like.

So for the rest of the audience, look out for these rods when strapping your car down on the dyno or towing! Thanks guys for your help!

This happened to me the dealer personally delivered the car to me
On his trailer and when he went to unhook the car after 3 hour drive
To me he noticed a broken rod ...and he told me something is broken
But he also said to me that he had never had this issue on regular camaros

Any way.....

He shipped out new modules with the rod ..cant just buy the rod piece
I imstwlled and the error went away.

I went to Fresno Performance, they are only 10 mins away from me. Ended up at 485/474 bone stock (A6).

Are they gonna pay for the new sensors they broke? You can count on about $200

We'll see what the damage is tomorrow. I'm sure they'll stand behind their mistake.

This post just goes to show you learn everyday! Had no idea about the existance or position of these rods. I'll be careful of these rods as they are hidden. Thanks for the info on this, great post!

With new cars, comes new sensors to learn about!! I'm sure all the big name shops figured it out right away after breaking a few.
