Brake pad REPLACEMENT for less dust

AS with a lot of ZL1 owner, I am tired of fighting brake dust. The brakes on these cars a freaking awesome, but the dust and the dust and the dust and then more dust.

There are several threads on here regarding replacement pads that preform as well as stock but do not create nearly as much dust. These threads are spread out and hit or miss.

How about a fresh thread that list pads KNOWN to preform nearly as well as stock and make a lot less dust.

THANKS!!!!

OK, I have had Power stop pads on my C6 Z06, C7Z06 and 2017 zl1. Never had any problems, the dust is cut down at least 90%. part # for the 2017 zl1 are z26-1835 for the front and z26-1053 for the rear.

Get the wheels ceramic coated. It helps tremendously with cleaning the dust off. I had mine done for $25 a wheel. I apply some wheel and tire cleaner, wait 30 seconds, agitate briefly and then rinse off and the wheels look brand new. All 4 wheels take less than 5 minutes start to finish. With a strong enough stream of water the dust can be rinsed off too but for me agitating with a brush gets a better result.

Once a week I get out my power washer, and just hit the rims with plain water. Cleans them up so far just perfectly. The black dust residue just rolls off down the driveway.

On the 5th gens, you could get the Cadillac versions of the pads and do much better on dust, but you weren't supposed to take it racing. I would assume that is still true but somebody would need to confirm.

Friend (kracka) with c7 z51 switched over to Z26s, fantastic results. Zero dust compared to stock. I ordered the same ones, got delivered today and will be doing a lot of flushes soon and plan on installing them when I do that soon.

Thumbs up

I had the Hawks on my 2012. Excellent. Cost was about $430 all fours corners.

These powerstops are only running about $75 front and $63 rear. Total will be less than $150 all around.

Whats the opinion on this in general? The Powerstops seem like a steal. The reviews on them are generally great.

Also, where do you recommend sourcing?
