Wix 57060xp, 57045xp, WL10255xp
I changed my 2014 GMC 5.3L truck's oil yesterday and used my stash of filters. I had a few 57060xp filters and some 57045xp filters. I couldn't recall which filter I was using on the truck vs the Camaro (L99). So, I slide under the truck and found I had a 57045xp on the 2014 5.3L (direct injection) truck.
I recall being directed to the longer 57045 filter over the 57060. But now I'm looking at the Wix charts and the 57060 is the L99 specified filter and the 57045 would be a longer version, while the WL10255 is specified for my truck in both the 5.3 and 6.2L DI engines. My recollection was that Wix had specified the 570xx filter for my DI truck when I bought these filters. Have they changed their recommendaation for the DI engines? Any insight?

Ok, it looks like the WL10255 (long) is a recent change for Wix, specifically to raise the bypass pressure from 12 to 22 psi. The 57060 (short) and 57045 (long) were recommended for my DI engine in the past. But it appears either GM or Wix on their own decided 22 psi was the right bypass pressure. It kinda begs the question about our port injected L99/LS3 bypass pressure.
What filter are you using on your LS3/L99??? https://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/top...-10255/?page=2
