We actually did have a really great time today up until the last 30 minutes. I have to give Ivan the award for having the best attitude, considering this most unfortunate mishap. Had it have been any of the rest of us, I think it would have been a lot more of this.
So I think we just need to have all Camaro5 members send $20 to Car Crafters with a memo on the check "Ivan's repairs/upgrades" It's a good thing IAS brought that change of clothes. Here are my pictures, only good stuff, I couldn't take pictures of a camaro down. :( Keep your chin up Ivan!

Ivan, I am very sorry this happened, but aslong as you are ok, I have never been a fan of this type of racing, but it does seem fun. Rather we are simple run em in a straight line drag racers, and even with that one can get into a wall, a wreck almost happened when we ran at Area51, and this could have taken out both of my cars, but we were lucky:
http://www.hepcatradio.com/area51-5.wmv Again, my heart dropped when I saw those images... I am really at a loss for words, good luck with getting her repaired...... I am getting close to joining you guys in owning a Camaro.....but will probably hold out for a 2011.

I did straight line for a long time before this. Agreed, there are some rather hairy accidents in that venue as well. Either way, it's what it is and everyone knows the chances that they are taking when doing it. Planning on being at ABQ Drags just in time....we'll see. Thanks all, Ivan |

Ivan:
I still feel really bad that this happened. I don't wish this on any of our team and all I want is folks to be safe and have fun. As such, you guys really need to be careful out there. Don't let that "Red S" grow on your chest! By the way, Ivan, if you need a new grille, you can have my old one for sure. The $20 donations are already showing up at the shop. I'll make sure the guys treat your baby with special care while it's getting worked on. Curt |

Ivan,
Nancy and I are sick over what happened, very glad though you are ok. We went out to the track about 12 hours late (won tickets to the races) and Jim told us what happened. Anything I can do let me know!! Happy Father's Day!!! |
