Pedders CASTER Bolt Kits post up some more details on these.
I am very interested in buying the caster bolts that I think Pedders offers.
Does any other manufacture offer a caster solution? I want to see photos of the notches required for the caster bolts and a basic idea of the process. We got out car dialed in really good today but our caster is L=5.4 and R= 5.6 we kinda wanted to try to get it to the 7+ range to see how the steering feels. Comments and suggestions please. |

i don't have any pics of the slots, but at the front of the radius arm where the bolt goes through to hold it to the sub frame, you will see that area is outlined from the factory. This is done so you know where to use a carbide grinder to remove the metal in that area. This is the same process that GM used on their struts to allow camber adjustment for years.
This allows you to install our eccentric bolt kit and make the caster adjustable. I believe the caster can be brought up in the mid 7s. |

The front radius rod mount is single wall with a metal lip piece that's welded on for what looks like eccentric adjustments. I didn't put my front Pedders eccentrics on since I wasn't comfortable grinding it myself.
The metal lip plate for the mount area makes the metal twice as thick as the normal mount itself(on both sides). There is an old thread somewhere that DMS(?) highlighted how to grind for installation. |

Guys thanks for posting up that link showing the photos.
from reading that thread it seems G8 guys have a front pull and some Camaros which is why they used this caster adjustment. Our car has zero pull and is straight as an arrow. Not too sure we would even bother since we drove 300 miles this weekend and the car feels great as is. Can anyone here who has this done to their SS with a full suspension chime in as to what they felt after increases the caster with these bolts? |

Increasing Caster will improve steering feel, steering return, turn in, and as a result performance.
Being able to adjust it will allow you to fix a pull if your caster spread is to high |

Pedders has an install manual for the bolts. Not sure if they have it posted, but they have it.

so from the pictures you can use the rear bolt. Do you have to shorten it?
