Exhaust Exhaust Exhaust

I have a 2014 1LE bone stock. Ove rthe winter I am putting on a CAI and exhaust. I am torn between the Borla S or the atak (cat back). Anyone out there have/or heard the atak. I have heard it is kinda "poppy" and doesnt sound that good. Any good ideas on CAI's? I have been out of the camaro loop since 2005 (had a 2000 Z28). Any advice/opinions would be appreciated. I will post pics later and throughout the install.

The S-Type has a nice deep tone but has some drone. The ATAK is louder but has a raspy sound at higher RPMs. CAI Inc intakes are by far the most popular intake system these days. Here is a tech article with some more info.

They are pretty popular. With the J-pipes you definitely do not have to worry about drone.

From the exhaust choices listed, I prefer the Borla S over the Atak. I'm personally not a big fan of the Atak.

As for intakes CAI is the most popular, but Roto-Fab and Airaid are also good ones to consider.

Best regards,

I have 2013 2SS/RSS L99. My first Camaro ever and lovin' it! Installed both the CAI and Borla S-type at 1500 miles. Both are awesome. S-type has nice, deep tone and the CAI has a nice "swoosh." And even better after about 500 miles or so installed. Both bought from APEX....easy-to-order, great service and price! Looking at APEX catch-can and a PTB next!

YouTube the exhaust you want for sound. Not much to gain hp wise just sound.

As far as an intake goes. Get you a plastic tube intake like the Rotofab, ADM race or haltech. Those are some good intakes to go with.
