guidance on hood modifications

I may be considering modifying my LT Camaro hood. I have no clue where to start. Do I get an entire new hood with vents or do you pay a body shop to do cut outs for vents? I am not sure what I want to do yet but I have always liked the center vents on ZL1 and Z28 styles. I guess I am asking where to start to get ideas and what is involved in hood modifications and what range of cost to do this. Thanks.

If you choose to buy a hood consider this one. In my opinion I believe it's one of the best looking hoods. When I bought mine the fit and finish was great.

Dude the ams vis carbon fiber is the way to go.
http://m.ebay.com/itm/231192946156?nav=SEARCH

I contacted the seller and he sold me the hood for $970, but I had to do it outside of ebay. I used paypal and he shipped it fast as well.
