The sound quality is trash, especially if you upgrade your system. I enjoy it in my wife's vehicle because she wont let me crank it up, and I dont have to bring my ipod, I can usually find a good/decent song flipping through a few channels.
I will say this though, at least with the hip hop channels, mostly Backspin which is typically the only one I listen to, the music selection has gone to crap. I dont know if they are on some sort of automated playlist, but there are 2 or 3 songs that are almost meaningless to the genre and not even that artists top 4 or 5 songs, that are played consistently around the same part of the day. A song that should maybe get played once or twice a year at most because its so insignificant as a classic song is playing several times per week, at least that I hear. I find myself flipping through channels more now than years back where u could just leave it on and hear 15 great songs in a row. |

I prefer using Pandora... same great content for free without the crappy sound quality and cutting out because of tall trees or overpasses.

I don't care for XM radio, but I have no problems with the sound quality. I live in NYC, so that might be why it sounds great.

Love XM and use the phone app at work on a speaker dock. Great variety.

I went to cancel and they talked me into dang near getting for free. I listen to the comedy channels and nascar radio. Music on pandora and other devices. And accidently 103 everynow and then lol. S

I am still on my 3 month 'free trial' from back in July 2010, has never shut off, never signed up, never gave any credit card information, nothing. I get various letters from them and from GM stating it's 'expired' but nope. Lucky I guess.....

I liked being able to play XM in my home without needing an extra tuner and the corresponding additional fees. XM only in the car for me now.
