Z/28 Front Splitter Install on 1SS
Good afternoon Camaro5 Gents!
I wanted to see if anyone knew if a guide or a Step-By-Step existed for a Z/28 Front Splitter install existed? I have searched the forum, but haven't found anything. It seems mostly straight-forward, with just drilling a few extra holes, but I didn't want to take my chances with such an expensive piece of equipment. Thanks ahead of time! |

How many screws do you have?

Honestly, I would just start by screwing in the weak points, then go out from there.

I'm pretty sure there are support brackets underneath you have to buy from GM to mount it properly. Rednecking it with a bunch of screws is a sure fire way to lose it on the road. The Z28 splitter is different than the 1LE version.

Have those already on the way in the Mail. Piece is too expensive to lose cruising on the Highway. |

I have the Z28 splitter on my Camaro and has been on for 3 years and has been up to 147mph on the interstate with just 10 or so bolts and nuts holding it on.

do not use screws or push pins. I am living proof and $400 out from doing that. get bolts and washers and be generous with them

I used 14 of 1/4-20x3/4" stainless screws with 1" stainless fender washers and lock nuts. I also used the GM brackets. If my splitter comes off the entire front cover will be with it.

These always make me lol when I see the ends of the splitter just hanging out because there are no flares wack

The facia extenions are not available or they would be on there. So I'm going to go without.
