Sup,
So, back in 2008-2009, I was a member of Camaro5. Obsessively following the spy photos of the 5th gen prototypes, pondering the possibilities, etc...I think my username was MerF (nothing before or after). However, life happened...and happened...and happened...so I never ended up with one. Then, a month ago, a 2017 V6 (A8) kinda fell into my lap, so here I am! It is a1LT, silver ice metallic. I have tinted the windows 30% all around and darkened the taillights so far. Next, looking to plastidip the wheels and paint some stripes on...this is my first silver car, and the color bores me to death...but it still gets a ton of compliments so...gonna make the most of it! This is the third Camaro I have owned in my life ('91 Z28 ragtop, and an '89 IROC ragtop), along with a plethora of other various vehicles. I am a Navy vet ('98-'07), now a software engineer and Linux system administrator. I also have a 2015 Yamaha Stryker, so the dilemma is which toy to buy upgrades for!

Congratulations and welcome. One nice thing about silver is it only looks darker when dirty, not like most colors. I worked for some time as technical support for a home automation controller that was Linux based. Nice, tight programming there.

Sooo, after hitting up a couple local shops for painting quotes, I think I will be going the vinyl route for stripes...heh.

CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5/6. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wives', husbands, girlfriends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.
oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!!
