Window Sticker - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

FYI- After more than two months of phone calls and follow ups, my window sticker is finally being mailed to me. The excuses I received are as followed- 1. Holidays are making things move slow. 2. Everything moves slow on the corporate level 3. The Bankrupcy made things more difficult 4. A fire could have destroyed some of the GM's records (I think in Northern IL) 5. The person dealing with it is on vacation. 6. Homeland security put your window sticker on the do not mail list. (I made that last one up)

GM seems as reliable as a used prophylactic from a porcupine. I guess I should be happy that I am actually receiving the window sticker. Seems like it took an act of congress. Anyone else have this issue getting a window sticker? I have been working on it since October.

Well Congratulations! Glad your dilligence paid off. I'd be hacked too, if I didn't my new car window sticker.

If your getting a reissued window sticker your lucky,They are usually only available during the current model year from GM.
Let us know when you receive it!

IIRC, the dealer is required by law to display it on a new car. You are the only person who can remove it when you purchase the vehicle.

what was the process you had to follow to get it? i want the window sticker for my car VERY badly. i bought it certified used, and thought i could get a re-issued one somehow.

Must be for a dealer ordered car that is on the lot. I ordered mine and the sticker was in the trunk. Would've sucked to have had to wet it down and pull it off the window.

Here is my window sticker. It was in the trunk when I picked up my car. I had tolled my salesmen to make sure it was not even put on the car when it came in. I did not want it to get messed up taking it off.

I have my original never installed. I also have all the paperwork, L&R buildsheets, keytag, gate pass, rim stickers and seat plastic covering lol.

How does one go about getting a re-print? I got my car last June after it was driven down to Florida from a dealership in Georgia. I never saw the window sticker. Since I'm keeping this car until I DIE, I would like to have the window sticker!

It would be cool to have in a frame, sitting in the trunk next to some die cast models and a copy of Camaro Now Magazine--in 30 years at a car show!

So, what gives? I'd pay for it if I had to.

My car was used and did not have the window sticker. To get a reprint, you have to go to the dealership where the car was purchased NEW. They contacted someone/GM and the whole process was a disaster. I thought getting a reprint piece of paper would be simple. Boy was I wrong. They did tell me it is "in the mail." I have not received it but it should come in this week.

You act like this is some kind of normal service GM provides on a regular basis. Your car was delivered to the dealer with a sticker. The fact you didn't get it isn't GM's fault.

So GM has gone above and beyond here to take care of you on what is definitely an out of the ordinary request and you are complaining?

I'm glad you got what you needed though, just sad you've tried to trun a plus from GM into a negative here on what is generally a pro GM site.
