I was using chemical guys matte detailer which works good on the wrapped hood. Now since I started using hydrosilex recharge on the whole car and the hood stays a deep matte look. Water just beads up and runs off.

I've always just used Windex glass cleaner on my hood. Still looks as good as when new after 5 summers. I've had other 1LE owners ask if its been re-wrapped.
Real simple to use as well, very forgiving.

I was told by a 3M rep. that ammonia will ruin the vinyl wrap.

I was also using Chemical Guys, about a month ago I was doing a quick detail with Meguiar's Ultimate Fast Finish after the Texas Mile and got some on the hood. The next day, that spot looked pretty good, so I did the rest of it. The wrap still looks like I just applied it.

Maybe because its just wiped off right away ? I was always under the impression windex is mild. Anyways, my wrap still looks like new.

I had a 10 hour drive from Iowa to Denver in November when I got mine, all on G2s, never got over 40 degrees
Welcome aboard, you'll love this car.

Pretty sure I’ve read you want to replace the vinyl at least every 5 years if you care about the paint on the hood. Every 3 if you’re in the AZ desert like myself.
