Alignment specs for 1LE

Looking to get some opinions on best alignment specs for mixed use street and road course (not autocross). Suggestions? Thanks

Look closely at the first two posts

Something else to think about is how to reduce understeer. Justice Pete suggests going with a stiffer rear anti-sway bar or putting the ZL1 front bar on your 1LE. Choice is highly dependent on the tires you are running.

https://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=544483 post 13 has what was the last set of alignment specs that Justice Pete posted. There are typo's in the oem specs but the rest seems to match what Pete recommended.

I'm running -1.7 degrees on the front, and -0.8 on the rear with no toe up front and .125 toe in at the rear each side (for 0.25 total).

With a dozen auto-crosses per season (averaging 8 runs per auto-cross) and the rest being daily driving (10K miles per year give or take), I'm still wearing the outsides before the insides. I will try to go more camber in the front next time out (I'll try for 2.0 but will settle for whatever I can get). I would like more turn-in too, so will go with more rear toe-in or might go a little toe-out at the front.

  • Driving Nannies: If I'm that far out of shape on the street, something has gone terribly wrong and by all means Mr. Computer man, come and get me.
  • G2s: Rock throwing is like like a tramp stamp; although problematic, it's a sign of good things to come.
