Im sure if I gave it a go it would come out looking worse. Would much rather them be held responsible

Saw this service bulletin also, I just want to know what they use to buff it out.

I'll see if I can find the TSB number for you. It IS in the system; I saw it over my service tech's shoulder as he was searching for another one for me. I asked him to show me that one, and it clearly stated in numbered steps what the service tech should do...clean carefully with a microfiber cloth, mask the area with tape, apply xyz GM part number polish, use a swirling motion, etc. Even included pictures of the process.

The TSB gives the exact GM part number for the polish.

Mine did this as well, I just used some plastic polish on a cloth and it was good as new. It took 30 seconds.

TSB: 09-08-44-015B: Radio Display Screen Scratches and Scuffs (Polish display screen) - Sep 25, 2009. Refers to using "GM Swirl Remover Polish, P/N 12377965, in Canada use P/N 88900046) to hand polish the display screen. Also says, "For vehicles being repaired under warranty, use: Labor Operation: R9768, Description: Restore Radio Display Screen, Labor Time: 0.4 hr"

Doesn't specifically say whether it will be handled under warranty but I interpreted that last bit to mean that it should be.
