I've used Adams SuperVRT once, the hood is finally back to a complete matte look. Haven't needed to use it again, yet. Granted mine is a garage queen, but it's been rained on a time or two. I haven't had any issues with spotting.

I don't know that painting is a better option, but I could be wrong. I've heard matte/flat paint is hard to keep looking nice as well.

It is also a challenge, but the paint will allow an aggressive cleaning.

Well I watched the video and the Super VRT is out. I think the Brilliant Glaze is a good choice for me....it cleans and it will leave the hood wrap matte vs making it shiny.

Arrrrhh another Adams order

I've not had to really clean the wrap, much less agressively. Just rinse/wipe. Nothing really sticks to it, especially after having SVRT on it. But if you didn't like it, that's cool.

The biggest complaint seems to be spotting, which I've yet to experience.

It is too shiny when first applied. But after a couple of cleanings it gets better.

In any case, let me/us know how the Brillant Glaze works for you.

Hey fellas.

I was made aware of this thread from a client of mine needing his 1LE cleaned up and the water spots addressed on his hood. I'm going to say that VRT is not a good choice just for the sake of having to reapply often and the chance of it running down your paint and drying after a heavy rain.

The first pic is after an ONR wash and dry.

Here is a 50/50 shot after using M39 to clean and remove the spotting.

And here is a shot after m39 and then followed up with m40

Just remember to use products and what they are intended for. Good luck

Also, Chemical Guys makes 'meticulous matte detailer" and it's just that, a detailer. It doesn't have the ability to remove spotting unless fresh

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with either of these products for their vinyl hoods?

Meticulous Matte Auto Wash
http://www.chemicalguys.com/Chemical...cws_995_16.htm

Jetseal Matte
http://www.chemicalguys.com/JetSeal_...wac_203_16.htm

Jetseal seems to be the only one with a real iffy review.

Also, sorry for the necro-bump
