What is the limit of the stock pump and injectors through an auto?

Thanks for the response. I spoke with someone at your place Saturday. Just picked this ZL1 up for my wife last weekend and I have a problem leaving things stock. lol

Auto or Manual The fuel pump is good to around 700 RWHP with a voltage booster on Gasoline.

The injectors run out at 560 RWHP.

Thank you for your business, I look forward to working with you.

Ted.

You'll want to upgrade the injectors on this car at any point past very mild bolt ons like Headers, Intake, and maybe a 5%-10% pulley. Once you get rid of the injectors road block, there's very little to worry about except heat/pressure.

So it sounds like the 850's and a stock pump are ok for something like 75-125rwhp gains.

E85 will require 1050's and the aux pump.

I'm thinking I'll do the 75rwhp package and then grow into a flex fuel set-up from there.

E85

I have JRE's 750 kit with the rough idle cam. Car runs fantastic, but it's never enough. I just ordered the E85 Kit with dual fore fuel pump ID 1300 injectors, fuel rails, sensor and all the supporting components. I can't wait til it shows up at my door. Then off to the shop. Thank you Ted and your staff for all you do and answering all my questions.

ID850s are gone but was our go to until the ID1050x replaced them.

ID1050x Stock pump fuel pump voltage booster will support 200 RWHP over stock on Gasoline.

I don't care for the voltage booster. I used those back in the day on the Buick GN's. I'd prefer to run it to the limit of the stock pump and then add the aux pump. I actually prefer a larger intank pump but it doesn't seem to be common in these cars. I'd say I will push it to the limit of the stock pump and 93 octane and then will work my way into E85, ported blower with snout and flex fuel so we can still drive it on vacation but then fill up with E85 when she wants to run it at the track.

This platform is all new to me so I have a lot to learn. My history is with turbo small blocks and big blocks with a fuel cell and large pumps. My Regal went 7.7's at 187 before I decided to remove the radiator and swap it to pure Methanol.

The stock pump is currently limited by system voltage supplied to the fuel pump control module.

The FPVB gets connected to the FPCM not the fuel pump, the FPCM is still in control of the pump.

We have sold installed many hundreds of FPVB for over 10 years and never once had nothing but success.

Ah so it's not really a voltage booster to the pump where it's hitting it with 16-17 volts, this just corrects a low voltage issue where it's running less than 14+?

The FPCM is responsible for controlling the PWM signal to the pump and maintaining correct fuel pressure all the time.

The system voltage can vary from 11.5 -14.5 so you never know what your FPCM will get when you smash the gas.

The FPVB maintains 14.5 volts under all normal driving, and when you smash the gas provides the FPCM with 17.5 volts so it can do it's job controlling the pump.

Ted.

Thanks for the explanation.
