Another AWESOME show for the record books.
Thanks go to everyone involved. Thank you to Phil for hosting us at his incredible dealership. The new flooring and lights inside transformed that space into an incredible space for events like this. I was impressed with not only the huge selections of donations from everyone for our silent auctions but more importantly the fact that almost EVERY item sold. Thank you to all of the James-Martin staff that came in on a Saturday to help out, from the gentlemen helping to park our cars as a 36 car Camarovan came down Woodward with a police escort, to everyone that helped out with registration, 50/50, refreshments, silent auction, on and on and on...… Thank you to Al and Todd for stopping by with the new Hot Wheels Camaro. Such a beautiful car. Thank you to James and his band for the music. Thank you to everyone that was willing to bring out your Camaros (and a Mustang and someone's white Corvette) in the rain. A big thank you to Scott who drove all the way up to the show (4 1/2 hours away). It was amazing to see you again Scott looking the best ever. Of course thanks to Becky and Joe for convincing Phil and James-Martin to host this event. Thanks to CJ for doing and incredible job in helping arrange and organizing everything especially talking the various police departments to escort 36 cars all the way from 8-mile & Woodward down to James-Martin. It has been more than 30 years ago that I had driven that stretch of Woodward (especially in the daytime) and it was amazing to see all the buildings and neighborhoods along the way, showing not only some of the lesser desirable buildings/neighborhoods but some of the older and stately buildings from Detroit's past along the way. Thank you to the local representative of the nearby original Ford Model T (A?) factory and providing a shuttle buss and tour for those of us that were interested in see some local automotive history. This particular area of Detroit is just steeped in so mush of the Motor City's automotive heritage, it's the perfect location for this event. THANK YOU! |

WOULD NOT miss your event for the world -- was well worth the trip -- what a great guy Phil is -- and what he's done with an old old building is truly impressive!
