Turning Off Traction Control and PTM

I'm sure this has been posted before. I tried a search and it brought back pages of threads...

I would like to know how to completely disable all traction control and PTM. When I press the T/C button one time I get the T/C off symbol on the dash. Is this all that is required?

I know it is there to keep the car inline, which I can appreciate. Every once in a while I would like to be able to get into it without hearing the traction control. It sounds like I'm bouncing off the rev limiter at 4500 rpm. I'm pretty sure it is the T/C and would like to turn it off.

I know, be careful...

I haven't tried it with the ZL1 yet, but with the SS, you held the T/C button in for about 7-10 seconds and it turned everything off.

That's for the SS not a ZL1.

I tried this and the T/C and A/H lights did not come on. I guess I will try it again.

I think the ZL1 coupe system is different. I wonder if your Vert will be this way (similar to the SS).

HDRDTD is correct. Hold it down for 7-10 seconds and everything is turned off. Press it twice and you enter PTM mode selection. Press it once and the traction control is by-passed but Stabilitrak is still active.

According to page 1-17 in the owners manual, it's as I thought.

To turn off both traction control and electronic stability control, press and hold the TCS/StabiliTrak button on the console in front of the shift lever.

Press the TCS/StabiliTrak button again to turn on both systems.

I will try this next time I drive it.

This is all you have to do. Hold the button that is circled below for 5 sec. When you first press it the traction control light will come on, after the full 5 sec the stabilitrac light will come on.

Anyone know (not guess, know) the difference between running in Sport ('M') mode with traction and stability turned off, and PTM5?
