Ruby Too is great. Soooooooooooooooo freaking cute. Mike is Ga Ga for her. I don't know exactly what abuse she suffered but she is not displaying any significant anxiety or behavior problems. She is fully litterbox trained & very quickly became oriented to her new space & comfortable. She will roll over & stretch out long on her side either in front of her cage or at the end of the bed which is a sign of being completely at ease. She has explored out of her room & into the hall, the adjacent bathroom, the front entry & will just peep around the corner of the couch. Bunnies gradually orient to their environment by exploring a bit farther each time from "home base" & back. That is as far as she has made it. I think the great room is just a bit big & intimidating for her. She will make it in time. We have to go get her a new water bottle as the one that came with her habitat leaked out all the water last night. Miss Ruby Too is already making a difference in our lives. I am soooooooooo glad I pushed this issue, followed my instincts & brought her home. She was supposed to be mine. I took some more cute pics but my stupid computer won't read the SD cards this morning. I have had this issue before. I HAVE to get me a new laptop. I'll get them downloaded one way or the other. HAGD everyone.

Great news SSBUSDRVR! Hope it turns out to be nothing major.

Something spooky keeps happening to me. My posts will dissappear, I re-post them & then later like a ghost "They're Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack" ? Whatever. I will never be a tech savy person so far be it for me to try to understand.

I am really starting to miss the Camaro so in an attempt to relieve my separation anxiety I decided to clean and 're-oil my CAI filter. At least it gave me a reason to pull the cover back and see it again and it was due for a recharge anyway. Not sure it helped much with me not driving it but it's not leaving the garage since there is a light dusting of snow outside which means they dumped more salt. There is also the potential for some heavier snow on Tuesday. Did I mention that I despise NY winters?

Good morning! My son took me to the Air Force base and showed me the camaros that are used as chase cars when the U2 takes off. I had no idea. Unfortunately I did not have my camara. But he said he would take me back. Hoping to see them in action rather than parked next time.

No major issues. And I was specifically testing out my theory that a person could do the project with just the one set of hands. The two problems I had were not due to lack of a second set of hands, but more of an issue of losing sight of what was around me (garage door overhead and camera tripod).

I could easily have talked to a neighbor to give me a hand or called someone from the club to help (and if I really NEED it, I feel comfortable doing so!) ... but this was a great way for me to test the process ... which works quite well ... and I will likely be doing it again soon (since I may pull the hood again this week to work on it further).

Glad the bunny is working out for y'all (though I'd have probably gone with a cat since they are lower maintenance and can easily be left by themselves for a weekend while doing car stuffs).

When Mike was told you were bringing home a bunny, was he thinking of ...

or ...
???

There are cat people, and dog people even horse people..................I have just always been a bunny person. They are not so much trouble once you learn how to care for them. We worked some more today on setting up her habitat & her room. Yes, you heard correctly, she has her own bedroom. Here are a few more pics (I know the proud mama is getting out the pics again syndrone ).

I''ve only seen it in vids, but that's a sight to see, watching a flying bicycle land

Short for 'perples' ... I don't spell so good

So, here it is, 3 in the morning. I live in the country on a state hwy. I hear a pickup idling to a stop just outside the house and the engine shuts off. I grab the .45 and look out the front glass, the same time some dude walks by the front porch and the motion lights come on. He immediately backs up into the shadows (mistake)..... I open the door and peek around the side of the house and there he is trying to hide in the shadows.

Understand, I have a loaded pistol aimed in the direction I'm looking, so safety comes off and I yell at him to get on the ground... no response (mistake). I tell him where he is and that I have a weapon aimed at his head and to GET ON THE GROUND! Down he goes.

He starts telling me who he is and he thought he was at his girlfriends house. Turns out he had a loaded pistol as well. I get his gun and I.D. he says he lives just outside of Ft. Sill, then tells me he lives on my highway 1/2 mile away. Story is full of holes. He's reeking of alcohol. I unloaded his pistol and let him talk, tells me he's Aaron Johnson and new to the area, but he got lost. I know he's full of shit but since I have his name and vehicle info I send him on his way.

Probably should have kept his pistol and let him come back for it tomorrow, just to see him in the day light. Still smells fishy. He don't realize how close he came to getting in a real live shootout at OK Corral
