Installing a HUD by removing the Windshield

I have a 2010 Camaro and would really love to install a HUD Display. I also have a broken windshield. If I have someone pull out the Windshield, it seems like it would be straightforward to install it. You have to cut a hole in the top of the Dashboard anyway and could fish the wires down through the hole. Anyone accomplish this? Thanks

Doubt it's possible. The HUD screws to the top of the dash from the underside for one. And two, the hole you have to cut, I don't think would be big enough to finesse the HUD in. But, if you are doing both, I do know that the install would be a lot easier with the windshield out. Like getting the defroster vent, and actually pulling the dash out and putting back in. I know my hands were all over the glass a couple times. Plus, you can then replace your broken glass with a HUD glass.

you have to pull the dash to do the hud. if you do it right you don't need to pull the windshield to pull the dash.
