Brand new ZL1 or keep your current car? *Poll*

I was talking to a guy at the Bowling alley last night and he was shocked at my answer.

You see.... I'd keep mine.

Don't get me wrong, if I didn't have my car already I'd get the ZL1 and mod from there. But if I could choose between my car now or a brand new 0 miles on the odometer ZL1 exactly the way I'd trim it out, I'd choose my car. Straight across. Even if the deal was The Z being same cost as my car and same equity. Straight equal trade.

He thought I was crazy and maybe I am. BUT I have been through a lot with my car and it's heavily modified to my liking.

So the question to the poll goes like this..............................

If you choose the new ZL1 you can not take ANYTHING from your current car. NOTHING. Every mod big and small goes away with the car. You only have a stock ZL1 that you are perfectly free to modify. BUT, you can't sell the ZL1 for the money for a few years at least.

The payments would be the same. Basically it would be a straight across trade. If you still owe 20k on yours now, then you'd owe 20k on the Z.

So those are the rules, and you just make a simple decision.

1) Keep my current car.
2) Take the new ZL1.

I'm curious to see if there are any other owners like me out there and how many. Plus if there are any V6ers that would keep their cars over a ZL1 due to the heavy mods they have done.

Some have done expensive and personal cosmetic mods that they might not want to undo and aren't as concerned about big performance.

Feel free to explain why you chose what you chose.

Just wondering if I'm the only weirdo.

PS, The vote is made public so I can see who the few are that would keep their cars.

You're not the only weirdo. I'd love a ZL1.

If I could keep my car, too. But I clicked the wrong option on the poll on accident.

I would have a Brand New ZL1 sitting in my Garage, did not even have to think about it.

I haven't really done a lot of intense mods. Just the usual exhaust, CAI, wheels. I would hands down take a new ZL1 in a heart beat. I wouldn't change a thing on the ZL1 except window tint and painting the tail light bezels.

I've become waaaaay to attached to my car to ever get rid of it. Short of the supercharger that just isn't in the budget right now, I have made it exactly how I wanted. It is now a mamber of the family and isn't going anywhere. I'd be nuts to turn down the ZL1 just because of the financial sense it would make...but call me crazy!

The deal is you get a brand new ZL1 the way YOU want it. So if you wanted it to be vert then it would.

I think you'll find the only people choosing to keep their current cars are the ones that are already SUPERCHARGED.

I would keep mine, cause the simple reality for me is that i would not be able to drive the ZL1 everyday, as I do my SS. Financially it would have to be a weekend car, and that is just not my style. Would I love to have one ? Hell Yea!
