Repairing carbon fiber heat extractor

Any advice on getting this back to original condition?
I bought 2 cans of clear coat and a ton of sand paper. Or am I wasting my time? Should I just leave it up to the pros?
Just paint it and be done?

Take it to a body shop and have it done professionally. That is a nice piece of Carbon and worth being restored correctly.
