Why Did You Get an Automatic?

After reading the ZL1 poll about whether it should be offered in auto I started thinking more about it. I got a manual because it's more engaging and fun for me. Why did you all with autos go that route? I see way more auto Camaros than manuals btw.

So wife could drive it. Plus I get sick of shifting. Done enough of that when I was a young one.

stock for stock.... no way in hell.

If the auto is modded out, then yeah, sure I see your point. However, I have seen ol 5 speeds run 10s just as well as the guys runnin autos. Its all about the driver and how well they match with the car.

I am in sales and don't want to be clutching all day long. I can drive a manual fine, I just don't want to when I am working. And I live in an area where there is snow and ice. And a manual isn't my idea of fun in snow and ice.

Are you self employed? If not, does your company pay for your gas/wear and tear?

My wife never mastered a stick shift. Had my 2SS for nearly 14 months and she still has not driven it. Also the auto is faster, I am getting older and lazier, just want to drive and look.

Mine is a daily driver and I don't have enough patience to drive a stick in city traffic. Plus, I like having a free hand for radio surfing and bird chucking contests

Drive a lot And my camaro is my daily driver and the one thing I hate most is driving a manual in traffic.

Remote start... so I can hear my exhaust as I'm walking up to my car.
