Be careful with who you let touch your exhaust...

Just got my Solo high flow cats installed at a muffler shop. I was so excited to hear them and was instantly depressed when I heard my car cranked for the first time. It sounded quieter than stock and like it was struggling to stay running. The owner told me to let them season and to drive home pretty heavy on the gas. I did just that and the car went into limp mode with a CEL. I got home and saw the dreaded O2 codes on my reader. I decided to look at the shops handiwork and discovered they forgot to reconnect the O2 sensors. (At the clips not at the bungs).

Pretty annoying but a simple fix. Car sounds like a dang race car now. Too much stress for one day. I need a beer

Sorry to hear that. I had mine installed this past Spring and did a lot of research on local installers before hand. It paid off in the long run. Once you have it right, you'll love them!

Glad to hear you got it fixed. So the high flow cats made it louder? Deeper? More raw? What exhaust are you running?

Thanks man! I really need to update my sig on here haha. I'm running a CAI intake with a muffler+resonator delete with the resonated x pipe. I loved the sound from this setup as the car was pretty dang loud and deep. I had some drone though and the car seemed pretty tame. I added the solo HFCs and am in love. I would say a 15% volume increase but more impotently, the car just sounds meaner and more raw. It sounds like it's just itching to take off at idle haha. Also, my drone actually decreased! Probably bc of the resonators on the solos. I can definitely tell the car has a bit more power too as I had to crank my Vitesse throttle controller setting down haha

It's on my list of things to do after tires etc. I'm betting it'll be in winter storage before I get to it. :(
If anyone wants to install these anywhere near VT- come on over and I'll help ya.
