How much for painted bumblebee stripes? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hi all. I'm considering dropping the stripe package and just having the bumblebee stripes painted when i get the car here. If you don't mind, how much did you pay for yours? Also, I understand that once your Camaro goes past 3000 you can't make any changes. Am I right?

I paid 1000 for stripes. Cleared into the paint so you cant feel them.

What do you mean "past 3000?"

Your correct, once your status code hits 3000 you can't make changes. I paid $2000.00 for Bumblebee stripes and gills being painted.

Awesome! Thanks! I guess I’m too late to drop the OEM stripes. I’m at 3000 status. It’s all good though! I’ll rock those for a few months and get them painted on later. I have not seen painted stripes in person but they seem smoother in pictures.

I prefer the painted over the vinyl but I was wanting vinyl until I decided to paint. You wont be upset with either way. Just enjoy the car and do the stripes when you feel you know a competent shop to do the work!

The first guy I took mine to quoted me $1075 but he totally destroyed it. It took me another $2000 to get what he messed up fixed. Court date pending.

Just depends. Mine was 1k for stripes, 250 for engine cover and bowties painted. All parts removed, sanded clear off, painted and cleared/buffed. Had the car 5 days and returned it flawless. Couldn't be happier with the job. Even wrapped the stripes around under the spoiler so you cant see tape lines from any angle, even up close looking under!

Every shop is different but he said he'd do the next one for 1-1200. Probably painting his IOM car next since he liked my stripes so much!

I went Vinyl

I got the Stripes for $300 from http://www.vinylgraphics.netand Installation was $400.

They turned out great!

$400 for instalklation of stickers. You must be out of your mind. Thats $700, Shit for 2-300 more than could have been real stripes painted on.
