Smaller rims with drag radials???
Anyone know how much smaller(and lighter)a rim can be used on the 2010 and clear the brakes? I figure if you can use a 17" rim with a drag radial with more sidewall, traction problems will be gone....until you snap an axle!

I'm pretty sure there is no way to fit a 17" rim, the caliper is just too big. I did some playing around in photoshop, and I'm pretty sure an 18" rim will clear if it has clearance in the right places. There appears to be about 1.6" of space between the caliper and the inside of the rim, so if an 18" rim has about 1" less internal clearance per side than the stock 20's, it should fit. Somebody needs to take some actual measurements though to know for sure.

Thats cool. Even 18" wheels will weigh less and be better for drag racing. Some actual measurements would be nice!

Weld and Bogart offer a 17" rim to fit the 2010 for sure. Unless they changed the caliper size they should work on yours. You have to zip tie the parking brake cable down I am pretty sure. They are around $2000 a set. They make a knock off corvette in 18" that will fit that would be a lot cheaper. Hope this helps. The Welds are cheaper than the Bogart wheels.

Weld and Bogart are only companies to make 17" drag wheels to clear the Brembo brakes and they are pretty expensive as they are not just a standard wheel and are custom built to fit the camaro. The 18" rims with drag radials is the easiest and cheapest way to go and a great option if you dont have too many power upgrades.
