Headers & Exhaust

ok, so I haven't seen my car yet but my wife took it for a quick run today and said the car is too quiet. She wants to drive something that sounds like it has power so I'm looking at putting headers and exhaust on it...has anyone ordered the factory short headers and exhaust yet? I haven't even had a chance to talk to the dealer about options, just wondering if anyone has any suggestions. Thanks

What do you have SS or LT? M6 or A6?

I personally like the American Thunder mufflers by FloMaster. Very deep and VERY loud.

Just get a set of open headers and I'm sure it will be loud enough for her. It was a little too loud for my grandma one time when I was in my grandpa's garage and finished putting them on around 3am. You could hear it about 3 miles away when you started it up but then this is out in the country but I'm sure it will be enough noise for your wife.

My wife has her IOM car and after spending all weekend at the FbodyGathering with a bunch of cammed 4th gen cars with headers she can't take the quietness of the new car. So far she likes the sound of the SLP long tube/Powerflo exhaust with the Loudmouth1 muffler ( http://slpcamaro.com/ ). Short tube headers provide minimal sound/HP gain and for the price you should go with long tube headers and a good exhaust system. Add a custom tune and you should get 40+ more HP to the wheels which is a nice bonus.

First thing that's being done to the 'maro will be a good ole bore'n'stroke.

If you want noise just make a man-flap!
