Adhesive

Any suggestions to removing pinstripe adhesive a quicker way, I just spent the last 2 hours removing it with WD-40.

I use automotive GooGone. I usually just have to spray to remove adhesive residue, but for tougher areas, I spray it on a paper towel and let it sit on the spot for a while. 3M also makes an adhesive remover. Heat also helps.

Sticker Shock always worked for me. I used to buy them at Advanced Auto Parts many years ago. Never had a need for it now. Check into this link...

When I worked at a Pontiac dealership we used a can of 3M. I’m willing to bet lighter fluid was in the same realm of it. It has an oil in but it will evaporate if left there. So lifhterfluid is good as it has oil in it. Alcohol will evaporate too fast. WD 40 is good too. Just have to let it sit. Take a shop towel, soak adhesive portion and start rubbing it.

Those wheels are awesome. It made removing the adhesive tape after removing the body side molding on my Suburban, Tahoe and Silverado effortless. Worked well removing 15 year old pinstripe tape on a Saturn too.

WD-40 and a plastic razor blade. Otherwise, use the Eraser wheel with a drill.

For adhesive removal nothing works better than Rapid Tac Rapid Remover, used by most professional detailers.
