$300 to open the trunk. .... Nice
Wires went bad going to the trunk and now I have to pay $300 to open my trunk....
First I was surprised there isn't a key backup to open the trunk..... This sucks. ..... I'm pass the warranty to. .... I still think it should have been covered because that's not anything that should go out in two years..... Oh and I have no mods and only the dealer worked on it since I got it. ..... Oh well. ...

even if the emergency trunk release is broken, you can crawl into the trunk and unbolt the striker from the trunk lid and open it after..

Reminds me of an employee I had that was freaking out when her FOB remote opener wouldn't work. Took her a minute to figure out she could open her door w/ the key.
Edit: Yep - sorry - I agree he's talking about the repair cost. Second Edit: If you've only had your car serviced that that dealer & depending how far over you are on your b2b coverage it seems they should give you a better deal on fixing. My mom talked her dealer into fixing her AC well past b2b coverage by showing the service manager all her receipts for all the business she'd given them. |

Ohhhhh, repair. Gotcha! I'd still take it to the dealership to see if they'll cover it. Its still worth a shot!

That's not what he said: "$300 to open the trunk..."
Words mean things.

Fixing the trunk latch/wires is a totally different problem. Words still mean things.

So yes, if you think he should open his trunk through the emergency release, every time he wants to open his trunk, you are correct. But it's really not hard to understand he meant it cost $300 to fix the electrical problem to his trunk release button...
