Now I know where I've seen that front end before

The little flappy things on Manta Rays:

What car started that blacked-out front bumper look? I'm thinking Mitsubishi Evo X. Production began in '07 for '08. Chevy is 11 years late to the party copying a car that has been out of production for 4 years... someone should have told them the whole thing was a fad nearing the end of it's life.

IMO, the '19 SS looks too much like a Japanese tuner car. It's modern I guess... but derivative and boring. '18s look far better, including the rear end.

The Evo doesn't have the stupid side flaps or what ever the hell they are.

It's pretty bad when an Evo looks better. Black is the only color that works on the 19 SS as it sort of masks those stupid side shields.

The 2018 Charger has a very similar frontend, particularly evident with lighter colors such as red or white. I'd think that is the direction this unfortunate 2019 design is attempting to emulate.

The only Chargers that are even remotely close are the lower tier models, but even those pull the look off because they connect the lower portion which allows it to flow. All the good models of Charger look nothing like that abortion they are calling an SS Camaro in 2019.
