If he is running the rear mount turbo then I guess this is possible...otherwise with the mid mount doing LT headers is really not possible (or hasn't been done) on the V6. I'm guessing the guys is running an STS kit? Expect another 20 horse more or less with LT headers.

If you just want a decent turbo kit and not worried about all the supporting mods (as in wheels/tires/suspension/beefier drivetrain)...you can get a nice setup for 7K for sure. IPS is putting down 465rwhp on their V6 and shooing for a target price between 6K and 7K for everything.

actually heres all the numbers:

12.9 m6/ls3
13.3 a6/l99

14.3 v6 m6
14.4 v6 a6
14.8 2ls

so that said

14.8
12.9

01.9 seconds.....thats the best part of 2 seconds.
lol...you chose the slowest V6 and compared is to the quickest V8....and you don't see the problem with that? When you compare two equals (example, the L99 and the V6 A6 the different is 1.1 seconds according to YOUR figures.

And the SS is the loser, in this case.

You realize the cost of the STS kit is less than the $8K+ difference between a similarily equipped V6 and V8, don't you?

Let's see. About $8K+ to buy SS performance from GM, then a Cam and tune. So almost twice what the guy paid for the STS kit for his V6.

I would say around 2500, on top of the price of the SS, just to break even with a turbo'd v6

First off, a 2SS isn't faster than a 1SS...just saying.

Second, you are basically proving the point. Any car can be made fast. It's all about what you are will to invest. Just be realistic about times and numbers. A V6 is closer to 1 second slower than a L99 than it is to 2 seconds. The price of the STS kit is cheap compared to difference between a SS and V6.

Nitro system with a throttle body injector plate. It can be removed prior to going to dealer.

a 1SS and a 2SS are the same car...well except for axles, the 1SS has a 3.91 vs the 2SS's 3.45...

I think you are confusing 1LE with 1SS.
