Left Rear Side Of The Spoiler Is Becoming Loose!

The spoiler seems to be vibrating loose when driving...how is it attached? This is nothing major......can I fix it?

Tighten the bolts, this has been posted couple different times, 5 bolts I think. Fbodfather said they traced it to a bad torq setting at the factory and has since been fixed.

It was loose from the very beginning.. there have been many posts on here already about them being loose from the factory.

I dont remember the steps for fixing it (and my car isnt here yet) but if you search for the spoiler subject, you can probably find the other thread pretty quick and it will tell you exactly how to get to it.

I would guess that it is pretty easy to get to from under the trunk lid though.

Dude this is like one of the biggest posted things on this site. Raise the trunk and check your 4 spoiler bolts. There probably loose , fallen off, or gone

Warranty - let your dealer do it free of charge.

Rear spoiler comes off for the stripe install.Tell them to make sure the strip guy gets it back on correctly.

I put a little clear caulk with adhesive on before I tightened the bolts, to protect against rust and also to keep the nuts on.....you don't want to lose your nuts....that has been my philosophy for years !!

Don't use that. As said in I don't know how many threads.

Tightening will not cut it. They could still come loose so everyone needs to apply some loctite blue #242.

Why? Because the people finding loose ones probably where not the fault of the line work but just a defect of the fasteners and how they work in that configuration and under whatever stress factors.

Rear Spoiler doesn't always come off for stripes if your stripe guy is good...

Here's the Spoiler Bolt Thread...
