enough paper races...
As usual, when i go to the track, i post my videos for your entertainment.
I raced a jeep (highlight of the day, that sucker was FAST), and lost. I also raced my friend Dino, for those who have followed from my last videos (75y/o who runs a s/c'd challenger - we're always neck & neck)... due to the track prep, i was finally able to beat him - my wider tires gave me that edge. Track prep was non existent, as if it were raining. even the Jeep had traction issues suprisingly (AWD on drag radials.. man that sucker was fast...) My Set up: 486rwhp / 467rwtq E-Force Supercharger, 3.5" pulley, LTH, Cat delete, resonator delete, Dual Super 10's Flowmasters, AEM CAI, Tuned. Sitting on M&H 325's on 18" wheel. 19psi Car is in the shop right now getting it's upgrades done, so future should hold some better times. Hopefully a future race with Hellcat, GTR and a Z06 (I just enjoy the racing event, win or lose they make for great videos). Anyways, enjoy! Videos & Stats Me Vs Jeep (did i mention he was fast?) SS Camaro: R/T: .130 60': 2.154 330': 5.571 1/8: 8.285 @ 90.98 1000': 10.610 1/4: 12.566 @ 115.29mph Jeep R/T: .385 60': 1.813 330: 4.863 1/8: 7.376 @ 97.98 1000': 9.562 1/4: 11.419 @ 121.06mph* His fastest run was 11.2, tech gave him 3 warnings and asked him 4 additional times to slow it down, BUT didn't kick him off for no roll bar. -- he noted he was sitting at 620awhp, 6k lbs... who knows, probably underrated. Nice races! That jeep was quick! Is there a requirement for roll bar after a certain 1/4 time or top speed?
I keep telling myself I need to get to some sort of track day event... but never do :(

for NHRA tracks, 11.49 or quicker in the 1/4 requires a 5pt roll bar with shoulder bar & 5 pt harness to run. enforcement has been spotty though. some have been kicked off for 11.42, this guy ran 11.2 and wasn't kicked off... so might just depend on their mood (or number of people... this day there were only about 10 of us)

stay tuned for next weekend, i have a new setup i'll be running with e85, more boost and an actual stable tune.

Just FYI that's a Lexus IS-F not an IS350 F-Sport Big difference as you took down the one with the 5.0 V8 not the V6. Those were some great runs!
