Talking Bradenton

Planning on going to Street Heat this Saturday at Bradenton Motorsports Park. It will have a terrible DA, but will be fun since the junior dragsters and tube chassis cars aren't allowed during Street Heat events. Last time out we were 12.3 in June/Summer heat, but having a good time running against the other street cars. I may have some DR's by then, so that could help us put the power down.

I don't like to run in the summer, but Nov-Feb I'll ride out there with you. Love the low to negative DA @ BMP during that time of year -- plus I won't stink up the interior while waiting in line. ;o)

Need to go visit FSP for a stock/baseline dyno before I touch the car, but that is still 1000 miles away on the odometer.

Agreed! My son hasn't driven the car at the track yet, so we are going for it. Also have DR's coming in today. I'll be working with Matt and Rodney at FSP for a few other goodies soon and I'd like to test at the track regardless of the DA.

PM me anytime and we can head out to the track in the Fall/Winter.

LOL!

OK, you have a great point. We should be happy with our Summer DA when comparing to some of those numbers. All in all, everyone at the track is up against that same DA. We like to see how we do vs the other street cars, and this Camaro has most of them beat.

Update: Through no fault of the vendor (sponsor here) I purchased a set of DR's from, only one tire/rim showed up today. The other isn't expected until Monday. We don't want to run on the stock tires any longer due to lack of traction and wearing them out. So, we'll try again on a Test and Tune the 11th. Hope to see some of you there, but we are bowing out on Saturday.

FedEx is at fault. Both packages made it to Orlando. However, according to their records, there was only enough room on the truck for one. Seems like a bad way to ship things around because now they have to make a 2nd trip to my house.

I'll give out our opinion and name of the vendor once we have installed the rims and see how well they were put together. So far, the customer service is exemplary.

What wheels? Thinking of the same tire. Wonder if it will rub on the drivers side wire harness lump. Let us know how it turns out.

I couldn't get the 305's to clear on mine, I had clearance everywhere except the inside front which is the same place the sledgehammer had the issue with. I was hitting the inner fender well slightly. It feels like there is something behind it like a hose or something. Mine does set pretty low in rear and the tires set perfectly under the car except for there. It sucks but that's life. I'll probably end up with some 295's as they are just a little shorter and a little narrower.

I'll let you know once I get the other rim in tomorrow. Don't want to post anything else until I make sure it works.
