Pricing on v6 camaro

I talked to a Salesman at a dealership today. I was just asking him general information. He informed me that after we place the order we would have to wait until November before they would know pricing. Once pricing was known we could go back in and add or subtract options at that time. I also asked him what they thought the LT with Rs would run. He said word for gm is that the base camaro will start at 25000-26000. Then he said with the RS your looking at about 30,000 more if you add sun roof etc. Then he said up to 40,000 for the SS. I just thought this might help you get a picture of about how things are going to go.

Thanks for the information. But, we have it on good unofficial authority that these prices are not the target GM is aiming for. We've seen over and over again that the dealers don't have the most up to date information and even more so may be jacking the price up due to very high demand..

There are a few threads here regarding pricing. Check em out. It may clarify what's going on.

Welcome to the site!

FYI, there is not a salesman in the country that has any better idea what pricing will be than anyone here.

IMO, a V6 with leather is going to be right around $25k. I base this off the price of the Malibu, and the competition. A fully loaded V6 could push $30k. I expect the SS to come in at 29,900.

Don't shoot the messenger. I just talked to a guy at a dealership that is already taking orders. I asked him to give me a rough idea. If you want to know what dealership it was john thorton. They just had lt rs camaro on display there. He said there is nothing official but the word is 25000 base camaro. I think its too high myself and i hope he was wrong but I was just putting info that i received.

FBod Father has said time and time again, NOT $40k!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SS will NOT BE $40K. that salesman dont know crap. My dealer refused to even guess, but when I squeezed it out of him he said he's hoping to sell base SS models @ $28K...... Patience.

I thought I read somewhere GM was actually targeting cars like the G35 or 350Z. If thats the case, a loaded V6 with leather is over 30k. I guess we will know when we know.

that is for thier top of the line car. our v6 is not as fast as thier v6, that means that we compare our v8 to thier v6.
