Are you fixing paint chips?

Looking at my Z28 I see the paint chips on the rear quarter and gouges in the rear flares from rocks. I have installed the front fender rock guards but the damage had been done before I got the car. I was wondering if you owners are fixing this damage or just living with it as some sort of badge of honor. I know many of you have installed clear plastic cover guards but I am against this action, just my opinion. Can the flares be fixed or must they be replaced. Thanks.

body shop can take care if it with ease

Xpel PPF isn't expensive to have applied in the impact areas there

I plastidipped my rear quarters - seems to do a nice job protecting and fills in existing chips. Auto body could fix but without PFF it'll chip again. Here's a pic of my car from the side to give you an idea how I did the plastidip. Took 30min, some painters tape and a few newspapers to protect the paint around the target area. Good news is with detail spray and a MF you can easily rub off any over spray.

I bought the touch up pen from the Chevy house. Works pretty good.
I need to finish up before i get that area XPEL’d. I have the rock guards, it cut it down a bunch, but did NOT eliminate it.

I”m ok with Patina on my 40 year old Porsche 928, not good with it on my Z.
Not yet anyway.

I’m going to go with Street tires when the Original Trofeos are toast.
It should cut down with throwing rocks.
