For the sake of this discussion we will proceed as though a Z28 will be released by GM. This is not based on any inside information, just the ASSumption there will be one. Until we have a Z28, this video will show you just what we think it will be capable of. Well, maybe not quite this capable, but close. For the sake of this discussion we will proceed as though a Z28 will be released by GM. This is not based on any inside information, just the ASSumption there will be one. IF they build one, we would hope it runs something like this.

And does this with ease.

Based on our costs the vehicle it could be built at about the same price as a the Big Dog Shelby Mustang. At $55 to $60 it could come very close to a Z06 in performance, but that would probably be squashed by the Vette side of the Chevy brand. One of these days I tell you how our Camaro stacks up against a C6 and Z06. One of these days...

So why wait for a Z28 when you can go to Hennessey, Nickey, Berger or Fessler Moss and get a branded Camaro that will hold value because the mods were done by a recognized company?

Because I am a die hard GM fan and love the heritage of GM name plates...

I am well aware that after market companys can and probably will do better then what GM puts out. But if its not built by GM its just not the same to me!

I can't resist asking. Would a 69 Berger, Nickey or Yenko be considered built by GM or just adored by collectors and enthusiasts?

Are they classics.... with out a doubt! Are they built by GM..... NOPE! Im not saying there is anything wrong with going aftermarket...I Just like the history of the Z/28 name!

I understand your perspective and respect it.

Over in the Mustang World they have Shelby, Saleen and Roush as in house performance brands on the new car showroom floor. Are they perceived as aftermarket or made by Ford by the enthusiast? Is there a difference between them in terms of origin?
