Blend Door Help- Southern California
Hi Everyone!
I haven't had this officially diagnosed, but I'm 95% sure the blend door failed in my car. Temperature control no longer works (other than turning on the AC, it'll be slighter cooler) and the vents blow air unevenly. I plan on keeping my car a longgg time, I don't find it reasonable to pull the dash/windshield every 150,000k for this fix nor do I feel confident doing the hack method myself. That said, is there anyone that can help with the hack, or is there anyone that can recommend a mechanic that knows how to do it? I'll certainly pay whatever it takes for somebody's time. I live in Los Angeles but can drive just about anywhere in SoCal to get this done. Thank you in advance! |

The easiest fix is to put a valve in-line on the heater hose. Search in the diy section for further advice.

Hi! Thank you for responding. I’m aware of that temporary fix but I’d still rather pay to have the blend door replaced via the airbox

Check your freon level, mine was low and it had those symptoms. AIr was hot on the drivers side and cold on the passenger side

That half hot/half cold symptom only lasted about a day. It now blows air at the temperature that it is outside. Heat doesn't work
