I hadn't planned on starting a build thread, but I'm hoping that this may help others somewhere down the line.

On my buddy's dyno for a baseline.

378/378 before a fuse pull and with no fan running.

Here she is after Kooks 1 7/8" Longtube Headers and cat deletes:

Added an ADM intake shortly thereafter. No pics currently.

Here she is on the dyno after adding the Cam motion cam. She barely had her first oil change:

Here's a video of a quick WOT run down the street with the new cam. This titan vi laid down 400wtq @ 2k-ish rpms. Even Kip was surprised at the torque down low.

Here's another video after adding the zl1 corsa exhaust. I started noticing more and more this squeaking type noise. See if you can hear it

Last week I put in an order for a carbon fiber z/28 spoiler, carbon fiber 1le splitter, and carbon fiber hood vent from G5R.

This weekend I decided it was time to pull the heads and see if there were any lifter issues concerning that squeak. I had checked everything else I could think of. I even used my ultrasonic stethoscope, and still had trouble pinpointing the noise. Only place I could even pick it up was from the headers.

Here I am getting started. This is about 1 hour in.

Only thing I found was a pushrod where it rubbed something just enough to polish it

It's in a weird spot so it's hard to say what did it, because it's lifter side, but it's too low to really hit the edge of the lifter if the lifter were failing.

Today I sent the heads off the FRH in texas. They have a pretty awesome cnc program I want to try out. I also spoke with Kip at Cam Motion today and ordered jesel sportsman rockers, a new low lash solid roller cam, morel lifters, as well as some other goodies.

For the record, cam and lifters looked fine. Nothing wrong there. Next on the list is suspension. I mean, it's been on the list, but I have yet to find a setup that fits my needs. Pedders would have been my choice had they not closed down. Penske and detroit speed are both awesome, but I can't justify 7k for a car that will still be driven on the street.

I'm hoping pete releases something with his new venture, so I'm sitting on the sidelines for now.

@ .650 lift 383int/250exh
@ .700 lift 390int/258exh

Kip should be cutting my cam tomorrow.

Cam specs are in 236/.637 246/.620 114+4. It's basically the same as my old cam converted to solid roller specs. Kip should be shipping my stuff out this week. Heads from FRH are still on hold due to weather and UPS. As soon as my springs get there, they should go out next day.

Heads will be here friday. All the stuff I ordered from Kip will be here friday as well. I can't tell everyone enough how great it has been to work with Kip and Cam Motion. He's a great guy and he definitely will have my business from here on out. I hope everyone looking to do a cam at least gives Cam Motion an opportunity to meet their needs.

Here's what will be here friday:

-FRH CNC ported LS3 Heads with BTR 660 springs and platinum retainers
-Cam Motion spec'd cam 236/246 .637/.620 114+4
-Jesel Sportsman roller rockers
-ATI damper 10% ud
-Morel 4737 solid rollers with new trays
-SDPC carbon fiber valve covers and coil mounts
-All misc. gaskets and arp bolts

I really wanted to change out the intake manifold, but the fast just seems like a waste. I probably should have gotten the ls3 intake manifold modded during the downtime, but it was just something I didn't plan on right off the bat.

Looking and sounds good-

Maybe you can get a core manifold and get yours ported. I believe New Era Performance has cores to send out.

Got a few hours in on the car this weekend. Didn't have much time. Had to pickup parts from dulles(thanks fedex) and didn't get to start on it until a few hours ago. (Thanks gun show)

Should go pretty quickly from here. The only thing that may take a bit is initial setup of the rockers.
